25 Facts About Me

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while so thought I'd refresh my blog by letting you all know some facts about me.
Me out for a meal with the famalam

1/ My name is Eleanor and live just outside London in Hertfordshire/
2/ I taught myself guitar and have never stopped playing it since.
3/ I have one sister who lives in Canada with her husband and two tiny children.
4/  I fancy all of One Direction a bit too much (guilty, not guilty)
5/ My favourite film is Charlie St Cloud. If you haven't seen it, stop reading this and go watch it             NOW! It is the best film to have ever ever been made and features Zac Efron, BONUS!
6/ I work at a zoo. But no, not with the animals. I work in the restaurant and spend my days serving      chips.
7/ My Birthday is on the July 4th, and when I was younger my Dad told me the whole of America had    a party for me and I believed him.
8/ I plan to get married one day on the beach.
9/ I started talking in full sentences when I was just a year old and to this day it is one of my favourite    things to do!
10/ I am in studying A Levels Maths, Chemistry and Biology and hate all 3 equally.      I JUST WANT     TO BE CREATIVE:(
11/ Me and my neighbour often go jogging, but then end up sitting on the park bench for most of the        time and then walking back home.
12/ Fabs are my favourite ice lollies, especially the Apple and blackcurrant ones.
13/ I used to hate the number 13 so much, I'd skip out the 13th question in every exam I ever did.            Then I realised it has actually been a pretty lucky number so far in my life. How ironic.
14/ I once got short-listed for a BBC TV programme and had to go and sing in front of Fazer from N-     Dubz.
15/ The Big Bang Theory is one of the funniest TV shows I have ever watched!
16/ I hope to one day become a singer/song writer and live in Canada.
17/ I always wear a gold cross around my neck that my Nan gave me. I even shower in it!
18/ MAC is my all time favourite make up brand. Their lipsticks are my favourite thing ever. Even          though I always seem to lose them after a few weeks of purchasing. oops.
19/ Ed Sheeran is my favourite singer and inspiration. I once met him and he shook my hand and left      it stinking of cigarettes and aftershave. (and that is how to make yourself sound like a stalker)
20/ I aim to partake in much more charity work this summer.
21/ My greatest achievement was when I ate an entire watermelon in a day.
22/ I once won an the overall best musical theatre student of the year when I was 14 at my dance            school. I didn't expect to win so had stopped listening by the time my name was called out. It was        a very proud moment for me but also very embarrassing as I forgot to stand up even when I                realised it was me who had won.
23/ I have always wanted to learn to play the piano and plan on teaching myself this Autumn.
24/ I believe hard work, dedication and positivity is the key to success.
25/ I completed the Bronze D of E award and the hiking was the worst weekend ever. We had to              camp on stinging nettles and my bag weighed almost as much as I did. (I'd still recommend it to          anyone who wants to try it out though)

There you go! Sorry I haven't posted much, I'm going to start posting more regularly from now on!

Musique

So yeah, a few weeks a go I decided to cave in and buy Paramore's new album 'Paramore' (what an original name!).

the album cover
I was very sceptical towards it when I first listened as I have been a massive fan of their earlier work and didn't want to be let down in any shape or form by their newer stuff. There was honestly no need for me to worry about this however, because I'm honestly blown away by how good it is. To me, I feel the album is much more developed than their previous albums but still has their own sound about it, which is good. The sound they begun to create music is what gave them fans after all. It isn't an album where I like every single song. I pretty much skip past the song 'Interlude: Holiday' every time it begins to play; not that this matters too much seeing as it's only a minute long. In contrast to this, there are many songs that I am just blown away by every time I hear and often have them on repeat many times through out my day. I think my top three songs are probably Anklebiters, Now and Fast in My Car. They are so fabulous and really make me want to dance along. Hayley Williams also has such a great voice (which makes me slightly jealous seeing as I'm a singer too). I also think this is a very Summer orientated album because even though it has a rock edge on all the tracks it's still jam packed with a feel good vibe and good lyrics. After all, you can't be listening to depressing music whilst the sun is shining!

I'll leave you with their latest music video to give you a feel for the album if you haven't already downloaded it:

And if anyone knows where to buy those paint drip tights, or how to make a pair please leave me a comment:)

Au Revoir xx

Product Reviews!

Hiiiiiii. Ok, so, these two products I am about to review have literally been such life savers to both my skin and my hair over the last few weeks! I am thoroughly impressed with them both.

Firstly... Caudalie's Devine Oil.

I know the picture is pretty rubbish but here is what it looks like
I received this in a glossy box a few months ago but never used it as I wasn't entirely sure what it was for seeing as the packaging simply says 'body, face, hair'. However, since having my hair previously bleached and recently dyed red it has been in really bad condition and I was in serious need of a good product to restore it back to it's former glory. I decided to get the devine oil out of it's hiding place and give it a quick try out. I am very glad I did as it has fully done it's job of restoring my hair in just two weeks of using it! I apply a small amount to my hair after I've washed it and then blow dry it, but I'm sure you could use it on your hair like a conditioner as well if you'd prefer; but to me this way it both conditions the hair AND acts as a heat protectant(double whammy yay). It has made my hair feel much softer and smoother since using it, and I also feel it has strengthened it quite a bit. You only need a really really small amount as a little goes a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long way. I guess this is a good thing seeing as a 100ml bottle costs £27. It contains argon oil which (according to magazines and beauty blogs) is good for keeping your hair in good condition. You could also use this product on dry skin if you have any and I'm sure it'll give you amazing results.

Next... Lush's British Nanny Facial Moisturiser

Due to the fact I work in a restaurant at a zoo, my skin is often quite problematic and either dry or breaks out rather badly. I was looking for a product that would moisturise my face a lot in order to oppose the harsh working conditions of the restaurant (ooh, that sounds dramatic). This product does all that I ask of it with out making my face look overly shiny or anything silly like that!It costs £25.95 for 45g, which may seem like quite a lot for a moisturiser when you can buy cheaper ones from high street stores; but it is honestly worth every penny. The pot may seem small when you buy it, but it seems to be never ending even though I'm quite generous with the amount I use everyday. I find this with a lot of Lush products though, does anyone else find them never ending too? Since purchasing it, I've been unable to work out what the scent of it is, but alas, it still smells nice. According to the lid it is meant to smell of almond and hibiscus, but to me it just smells fairly pleasant. The smell could be nicer I guess, but it's such a great moisturiser it's scent isn't a big issue in real terms. It also contains SPF 30, which should be good for when England finally gets it's act together and brings the sun back out. wooooooo. Or if you live in a hotter country, will be useful all year round!

Has anyone else tried these products and loved them as much as me? Or are there any better products out there that I have yet to try?

Anyways, adiosssssssssss xx

First Post!

Oh this is my first blog post, how exciting!

I don't really know what to say, (first posts are always a bit awkward I guess) but I would just like to point out that the new 30 Seconds to Mars album is fabulous. I bought it on vinyl and have literally had it on repeat for the past few weeks!

Here is a photo of the cover:

And the inside cover:

I love vinyl's partly for their sound, but also for the artwork you get with them! Most of the pieces of art are always stunning. If you've never heard of 30 Seconds to Mars before, here's their latest music video:

Anyways, I think this is enough rambling for one post. Adios people! I shall update this again soon xx
